We are light. We are also darkness. Light needs darkness to appear, darkness needs light to know that it is darkness. The body is light, because we see it; darkness is the soul because it requires the body to become conscious. The body needs the soul to exist, the soul needs the body to be present.
We don’t see the soul, but we know it exists, because it grows, it expands and it makes us feel alive.
It is darkness (the soul) which makes us live. It grows and expands inside us as if it were a spark and it wouldn’t stop if light (the body) didn’t restrain us.
One doesn’t exist without the other. Light traps darkness, restrains it, just as our body traps our soul.
